Who We Are

In 2009 brothers Paul and Simon Cooper joined forces to start an artisan ice cream making business in Oylegate, County Wexford. It's the perfect combination of Simon's extensive experience as a chef and Paul's farming background that has driven the venture forward. The last year has seen the company go from strength to strength and it continues to gain momentum with new flavours and products in the pipeline!

The Ice Cream

Our delicious luxury ice cream is handmade on the farm in a purpose built high-spec unit just a stone's throw from the dairy. The milk is fresh, fresh, fresh! Our aim is to produce the most mouth-watering ice cream and sorbet on the market. Whether it's the old favourites like Vanilla or Chocolate or something a little more daring like Chai Tea, our delectable flavours are sure to tickle your taste buds. We use only the finest quality ingredients and, where possible, we hand make all of the inclusions such as our scrumptious chocolate cookies for our chocolate cookie ice cream. We are also keen to promote fruit based ice cream without the artificial flavours or colours. Real Fruit=Real Flavour!

Our Location

As Featherbed Lane is such a distinctive name, we were intrigued to find out more about its origin. According to a local writer, there was a shebeen in the area and those who had a tipple too many, 'would lay down on the side of the road, noting it as soft as a featherbed'. But we've been so busy making ice cream we haven't had the chance to test it out!
